Abstract: The research reported here was conducted to identify those species and cultural practices that would result in high biomass yields for various land capabilities with acceptable soil erosion potential. We also conducted research to determine if intercropping sorghum into alfalfa or reed canarygrass could increase biomass yields over alfalfa or reed canarygrass grown alone and still have the advantage for limiting soil erosion.
